OVERVIEW.  Backcountry trip to Greenland is a ski-touring adventure in one of the wildest and most beautiful places on the planet.  We will tackle glaciated peaks rising straight from frozen fjords. We will choose from mellow glacier runs to steep chutes based on guest's preference and conditions.
THE TRIP.  After arriving to Tasiilaq we will spend the first day skiing neighbouring peaks. We then use snowmobiles to get  to Tinit Glacier, where we set up a wild camp for 3 nights, ski-touring every imaginable peak in the neigborhood. Half-day ski-tour will take us to a hut in Tinit, perfect place for skiing all the way to the frozen ocean, ice-fishing and getting to know local culture. We chose a dog-sledge to take us back to Tasiilaq for last day of skiing, so we can then finish up the whole journey with a helicopter ride back to Kulusuk and taking flight to Europe.
IS IT FOR ME?  By no means you have to be a polar explorer to join this trip, however you should be able to do the following: Be familiar with ski-touring up to 1500m vertical metres ascents a day in variable snow conditions. Be in control on your skis or board in variable snow. You should also be used to wild camping and have adventurous spirit. Feel free to get in touch with us to discuss the details.
ACCOMMODATION.  We will have three bases on the trip. Pension in Tasiilaq, backcountry hut in Tinit and wild camp on Tinit Glaciar. We will spend 3 nights on each location.
SAFETY.  Safety is our number one priority. Certified CAA (Canadian Avalanche Association) guide will take care of you, while our local friend will be in charge of the logistics. We keep the group to maximum of 7 people, to ensure the safety and so you take maximum out of the trip.
WHAT'S UNIQUE.  This is a small scale trip organized in cooperation with a lead guide of Czech ski-expedition to Greenland in 2012 and our Danish friend living in Greenland. It is designed for very small group of 7 guests + 1 guide. Greenland is not your everyday skiing destination so expect to be really out in the wild and don't meet other skiers on the trip.
INUIT CULTURE.  Greenland is least densely populated country in the world with vast majority of population living along south-west Fjords. Eastern coastline (where we go) is populated by only over 3000 people living in few settlements by the ocean. Local community live by similar manners as they used thousands years ago, which gives us and amazing opportunity to experience this beautiful way of life first hand.

ABOUT GREENLAND
_______

When you think you have seen the world, it's time to go Greenland. Few places on earth offer such amazing scenery, vastness and pure wilderness. This place gives you and amazing feeling of freedom. No roads, no machinery, no people, no sounds. It's quite unsetlling at the beginning, but when you get used to it, you will be hooked....and that's exactly why we go there. Adventures, yet peaceful expedition. The only sound you hear most of the time are your skis crunching on top of the snow.

Trip to Greenland is a real polar experience to gorgeous and empty mountain ranges.   It is one of the very few places on earth where you can climb snowy peaks right from the frozen ocean. Some of the most spectacular fjords on the planet offer frozen passage so we can link different peak ascents through out the day.

Greenland is the biggest island on earth with the world sparsest population. Most of which lives on the west coast around Nuuk Town and dozens other photogenic villages. East coast of the island, which we pick for our trip, is vast area of few fishing villages and amazing backcountry opportunities.
